Aside from the great visuals, the action scenes were really bland and boring
Grim, gritty and gruesome. Pilgrimage has plenty of guts but no glory.
There’s such an abundance of CGI and blue screen, however, that I had even more trouble becoming invested in the futuristic universe because it felt so artificial.
It Comes at Night is a bleak affair oozing in tension and dread. There’s a sense of tragedy and terror bubbling at surface level at all times.
I’m not overly scared of boats or drowning, but I was for about 8 hours after seeing this.
